The purpose of this page is to describe in detail what each of the Leaderboard Modules represent and how the numbers are derived. There is a section for each module in no particular order. You can configure which modules you want to see on the leaderboard.
This lists each game currently hosted on SDG and the player who currently holds the highest rating.
Only players who have played at least 4 different games at least once are considered for this ranking. Your highest and lowest ratings are dropped and the remaining ratings are averaged together.
This module retains all of your ratings and weights each one according to how many rated games you have played. There is no minimum number of different games played to qualify for this rating. For example, if your current rating in Blam! was 1500 and you had played it 10 times, the number 1500 would be counted 10 times towards your average. As you can see, the two return very different results.
This is a more complex rating. Each person's rating is normalized to a value between 0 and 1. (Currently this is done based on the 15th and 85th percentiles of the rating list. All players at or below the 15th percentile get 0 and all players at or above the 85th percentile get the full 1) This number is then multiplied by a value representing the number of times you've played a particular game. Your scores for all games played are added for the final result. As the math shows, you have to have played a particular game at least twice for a score > 0.
R = normalized rating P = number of rated games score = R * (1 - 1/P) Total Score = sum of all game scores
This ranks games based on overall number of plays.
This ranks games based on how many new games were started within the past 3 days.
This ranks games according to the number of unique individuals that have played at least once.
This ranks players based on the raw number of games they have played.
This ranks players based on the number of games they are currently (simultaneously) playing.
This ranks players based on the number of different games they have played. You must have played at particular game at least 4 times for that game to count. As more and more people max this score, this minimum will be raised.
This ranks players based on the number of unique opponents they have faced.
This shows the name and date joined of the newest SDG members.
This shows the holders of the highest ratings overall and the game in which that rating is held.
This module examines all Telegram submissions and gives 1 credit for sentences and 2 for images. Players are ranked on the resulting total.
This module takes the total number of recorded games and divides that by the number of days the game has been available. To avoid newer games to percolate quickly to the top of the list, if a game has been introduced by less than 90 days, it is considered that it has been introduced 90 days before.
This ranks games based on how many new games were started within the past 30/60/90 days.
